Make your LinkedIn profile relevant, appealing and effective
Networking — whether in person or online — is still the most effective way of finding new or future employment opportunities. Contacting recruiters and agencies is helpful, as well.
The good news is that you can do all of these things on LinkedIn. If you have been ignoring LinkedIn or just have a bare-bones profile, you are missing important opportunities that competing job-seekers are taking advantage of.
LinkedIn is the world’s largest and most dominant social networking tool used for maintaining a professional identity and brand. One of the first things a recruiter or HR professional does is google you to view your on-line presence.

LinkedIn Profile Writing FAQs
How does Julie create strong LinkedIn profiles?
Typically, Julie starts with the client’s resume first. Immediately afterwards, she creates a Word document with the LinkedIn content in it as it would appear on the actual profile. This takes a day or two to complete. The client edits and approves the content and it is posted.
How long is an effective LinkedIn profile?
Length isn’t the key factor. LinkedIn is all about key words and effective self-marketing, so the headline, summary, skills & endorsements, recommendations, education, certifications, awards and honors, volunteer service and basic work chronology are what is important. An appropriate photo is always a must!
Do many prospective employers actually look at LinkedIn profiles?
The most recent industry statistic is that 96 percent do. They also look at Facebook and Twitter.
Does Julie teach clients how to maximize LinkedIn beyond writing and posting a great profile?
Absolutely, Julie is a LinkedIn expert who can present a one-hour webinar on how to use LinkedIn, or spend time in-person or on the phone walking through LinkedIn.
How does Julie charge for her services?
Hourly for coaching; a flat fee for rewriting and revising a resume; and a flat fee for writing a LinkedIn profile. She offers complimentary (no charge) resume and LinkedIn reviews.
