Julie Jansen biography
Julie Jansen has empowered thousands of professionals to find success, satisfaction and fulfillment at work. A dynamic, successful executive coach and career consultant, speaker and author, Julie helps senior executives, managers, business owners and career professionals in dozens of industries learn how to increase their effectiveness, and works with people of all ages and backgrounds to develop or enhance valuable skills and competencies that can jumpstart their careers.
After graduating from the University of Hartford with a B.A. degree in Mass Communications, Julie worked in TV and radio broadcasting as well as in a variety of sales jobs, eventually leading large sales teams for training, outplacement and consulting firms. She started her own speaking and coaching business in 1999.
Julie published her first book, I Don’t Know What I Want, But I Know It’s Not This: A Step-by-Step Guide to Finding Gratifying Work (Penguin Books) in 2003. it was published in the U.K., Germany, Austria and Romania, and is available as an audio book and a Kindle version. The third edition was published in the United States and Canada by Penguin in March 2016. Her second book, You Want Me to Work With Who? Eleven Keys to a Stress-Free, Satisfying and Successful Work Life…No Matter Who You Work With was published by Penguin Books in 2006. Julie also is the author of a Workplace Coach e-book series on Networking, Enhancing Your Image, Delegation, Managing Your Career, Time Management and Getting Organized.
Julie has motivated employees of hundreds of companies and organizations in North America. She has been quoted in numerous publications including Fortune, Forbes, American Way, the Boston Globe, the New York Times, U.S. News and World Report, and WSJ.com. She also has been interviewed on the Today Show, ABC World News Now, MSNBC, NPR, QVC, CNN Financial News and many other television and radio stations across the United States.
